The Nike Lakota has been one of the best selling heads in the high school game for 2012 and 2013. Due to it’s popularity this year Nike has released a universal version of the Lakota with some updated looks. The head has a very efficient look, with a combination of matte and glossy plastic it’s right up there with some of the coolest looking heads. It has an aggressive forward cant and a nice face shape that does not become too wide. The sidewalls are set up very high but that does not sacrifice the heads durability and stiffness and you will notice right away that it is a stiff head. The Lakota U comes with 17 sidewall holes to give you a large option of pockets to string with it and the square holes allow for easy customization. If you prefer a traditional string job the Lakota U has you covered as Nike has made many of their heads able to easily accustom leathers. Overall the Lakota U is a great head when combining all the factors, especially price point as this head retails at $79.99, and you will be seeing a lot more of them on the field in 2014. We recommend trying one out with a mid pocket for great hold and shot speed.
